Why a PCAB License Matters When Choosing an Electrical Contractor in Cebu

What is a PCAB license?

PCAB stands for the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board, the body under the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP) that regulates and accredits construction contractors nationwide. Under Republic Act No. 4566, no contractor may legally engage in construction work in the Philippines without a valid PCAB license.

The license classifies contractors both by their field of expertise — General Engineering, General Building, or Specialty — and by their financial and technical capacity, expressed as a category and size range. For a client, that classification is an objective, government-verified measure of whether a contractor is actually qualified for the type and scale of work you need.
